THE WRONG PATH
TAKEN
On November 13, 2004 my husband and
I lost our 19 year old son to a drug overdose.
This site is for anyone who is dealing with
the THREAT, EXISTENCE, or AFTERMATH
of teen drug addiction in their lives.
My dearest son,
It has now been four years since we lost you to that monster called drugs.
I was so naive. I only wish I had seen the signs.
Again this year, we will fill your tree with white lights and have a
total of four blue lights to signify the years of our pain.
I can only hope that what I do will prevent another parent from going
through what we have. I feel your presence whenever I talk to other teens. Please send this year's balloons to the right places.
With all of my love,
Mom

This tree will be lit from November 13th until Keith's birthday, February 4th.

Also, every year on November 13th, we release 100 red balloons
from the West Michigan area in memory of Keith. Each balloon has a message about Keith and information about substance abuse awareness. If you find one of our balloons, please click here and post your location on the map, so we can see where it has traveled. Please visit the photo gallery of the balloon release by clicking HERE. Thank you!

A "must read" book for any parent
"Target America: Opening Eyes to the Damage Drugs Cause"
This is a touring exhibit produced by the DEA. Keith is one of so many
that are featured in this exhibit as "lost talent". If you have a chance
to see this exhibit, please do so and take your children. See the picture
we took of the book that had Keith's "story" and his picture as it took
