Balloon Release

Two years ago, my family and I started a tradition where we release 100 red balloons, every year, on Keith's angel day.  The color red stands for Drug Abuse Awareness.  Each balloon carries a tag that tells about our loss and gives the phone number of the National Drug Abuse Hotline.  The tags also have the web addresses to this site and  another great site:  www.faces-of-addiction.com

Please, if you have found one of the balloons, could you take the time to place your location on the "balloon map".  You will find a link to that page on the front page of this site or  you can click HERE.   Thank you.

Our daughter, Jennifer, and our Granddaughter, Kaylis, helped me release some of the balloons at the mouth of the White River in Montague/Whitehall, Michigan.  It was perfect weather and Jennifer took some awesome pictures.  Bill and I have released some balloons at our home and will continue to do so over the next couple of weeks as the weather allows.  We are trying to make sure the balloons don't just fly over Lake Michigan, never to be seen again.  Enjoy our pictures.  You can also enjoy this beautiful music montage Jennifer made for me by clicking HERE.
